Podsumowanie
Porty naczyniowe zapewniają trwały i dogodny dostęp do dużych naczyń żylnych. Zastosowanie portów w onkologii mniejsza ryzyko powikłań miejscowych związanych z drażniącym działaniem chemioterapeutyków na śródbłonek naczyń żylnych. Ogromną zaletą portów naczyniowych jest to, że znacznie rzadziej niż inne cewniki centralne ulegają one zakażeniu.
