Podsumowanie

Fetoskopowe leczenie zespołu przetoczenia między płodami jest wciąż przedmiotem bardzo intensywnych badań i podlega licznym modyfikacjom. Zmiany dotyczą ustalania wskazań, klasyfikacji, określania rokowania i technicznych aspektów zabiegów. Wszystkie te wysiłki zmierzają do tego samego celu – osiągnięcia jak największego odsetka przeżywających dzieci, które w trakcie swojego rozwoju nie będą wykazywały cech uszkodzenia ośrodkowego układu nerwowego. Przedstawione modyfikacje – nowa metoda klasyfikacji zaawansowania i nowa technika operacyjna – powinny pomóc w osiągnięciu tego celu.
